Senior Social Worker - Acute Care Services

About the role

Sunshine Coast Health is looking for a Senior Social Worker to join its Social Work Acute Care Services Team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. This frontline support role enables the development and delivery of frontline services, programs and outcomes. It is a fixed-term temporary position, open to full-time and part-time applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent, high-level social work clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical supervision.
• Exercise professional judgement on a complex caseload, adapting routine practice to valid and reliable evidence.
• Provide high-level clinical advice, education and influence to operational teams and stakeholders on service delivery.
• Provide leadership oversight and clinical supervision to less experienced practitioners and students as delegated.
• Lead monitoring of clinical standards, service improvement, performance and development plans, quality activities, evidence-based practice and clinical research programs.

What we offer

• Remuneration pro rata on equivalent full-time value up to $162,376 per year, with fortnightly pay of $5,086-$5,455 (full-time) or hourly rates of $66.92-$71.77 (part-time).
• Superannuation contribution of 12.75% and annual leave loading of 17.5%.
