Senior SEO Specialist – Lead Strategy & Accounts

About the role

We are looking for a senior SEO specialist to take full ownership of strategy and client accounts. You will lead a portfolio of Australian and international businesses, guiding them through algorithm changes and driving sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute 1‑, 3‑, 6‑ and 12‑month SEO strategies across technical and on‑page elements for key clients.
• Lead client communication, monthly reporting, and account health reviews.
• Conduct competitor analysis, keyword research, and produce detailed content briefs.
• Collaborate with the technical SEO team on schema markup, internal linking, conversion tracking and performance benchmarking.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level specialists, raising the overall team standard.
• Contribute to the evolution of our AI‑driven SEO and GEO offerings, leveraging Claude to enhance output.

Required profile

• 2‑3+ years hands‑on SEO experience, preferably agency‑side.
• Proven track record of improving rankings and retaining satisfied clients.
• Strong strategic and technical SEO expertise, comfortable directing others.
• Excellent client communication skills, calm under pressure and results‑focused.

Required skills

• GA4 certification and fluency with Google Search Console.
• Proficiency in SEMrush, Screaming Frog and Agency Analytics.
• Experience with WordPress and Shopify platforms.
• Knowledge of schema markup, internal linking and advanced on‑page optimisation.
• Familiarity with Claude or similar AI tools for SEO.
