Senior SEO Specialist (eCommerce Focus)

About the role

A remote, fully online position for an experienced SEO strategist with a strong commercial mindset, leading enterprise-scale SEO programs where eCommerce accounts for at least 50% of the client portfolio. The role focuses on technical SEO, scalable content strategies and organic search performance, working across major eCommerce platforms and advising marketing managers and business owners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SEO strategies for large-scale eCommerce sites, optimising site architecture, faceted navigation, crawl management and Core Web Vitals
• Diagnose and fix technical issues such as indexing, duplicate content and content decay on WooCommerce, Shopify and Magento
• Create and refine content briefs, build content frameworks with structured data and schema, and map entities and competitors
• Explore AI-driven and LLM search strategies and adapt SEO to emerging generative search environments
• Serve as primary client contact, run monthly strategy sessions and translate technical findings into business insights
• Build performance reports in GA4 and Looker Studio and link organic search growth to revenue
• Take a hands-on approach to technical troubleshooting and CMS-level fixes

Required profile

• At least 5 years of SEO experience, including previous work in a digital agency
• Proven eCommerce SEO track record on large-scale retail sites with measurable commercial results
• Deep understanding of technical SEO and content strategy
• Experience with WooCommerce, Shopify and Magento
• Understanding of AI-led and LLM search, with a commercially minded, autonomous approach
• Must currently reside in Australia; the role is fully remote

Required skills

• Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4 and SEMrush
• Building performance reports in GA4 and Looker Studio
• Structured data, schema, entity mapping and internal linking
