Senior SEO & GEO Specialist

About the role

RCJ is seeking a Senior SEO & GEO Specialist to shape modern organic visibility for its clients. You will lead strategies across traditional SEO, Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and emerging AI‑search experiences, combining proven fundamentals with a test‑and‑learn mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute organic visibility strategies for a portfolio of clients, covering SEO, GEO, AEO and AI‑driven discovery.
• Own technical SEO delivery, including crawlability, indexation, site architecture, migrations, redirects, Core Web Vitals, structured data and JavaScript considerations.
• Conduct research on search intent, audience, competitors and content gaps to identify opportunities across traditional and AI‑led journeys.
• Design and run test‑and‑learn programs for AI visibility, monitoring citations, content experiments and hypothesis documentation.
• Audit client presence on Google Search, AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and other discovery platforms.
• Collaborate with content, development, performance, social and creative teams to integrate organic visibility into broader campaigns.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably in a digital or integrated agency.
• Strong technical SEO knowledge and ability to move between strategy and delivery.
• Evidence‑led mindset toward AI, comfortable testing hypotheses and adapting to platform changes.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex search changes to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Technical SEO, structured data and schema markup.
• Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4.
• Screaming Frog, Semrush or Ahrefs.
• Experience with JavaScript SEO and Core Web Vitals.
