Senior Secure Endpoint Specialist

About the role

Aurizon, Australia's largest rail freight operator, is looking for a Senior Secure Endpoint Specialist to join its Cyber Security Platforms & Governance team in Brisbane. The role strengthens the security, resilience and integrity of the enterprise technology environment by securing endpoints, managing critical cyber security platforms, improving threat detection and driving continuous improvement across cyber defence.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage endpoint security solutions such as CrowdStrike, Cylance, Defender, Intune, Cisco Secure Workload and CIS Benchmarks.
• Administer and maintain secure endpoint tools and platforms, and own MDM platforms.
• Manage vulnerability scanning and reporting tools and give actionable insights to system owners and GRC teams.
• Develop and enforce security and vulnerability management protocols, and implement Microsoft email and endpoint security configurations.
• Deliver platform services to agreed SLAs and internal ITSM processes, and build technology roadmaps for endpoint security maturity.
• Create and maintain disaster recovery plans, keep documentation of architectures, assets and procedures, and train staff on secure endpoint practices.
• Support incident response, take part in post-incident reviews, and join an on-call rotation.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Cyber Security or a related discipline.
• Professional cyber security certifications.
• 7+ years of experience in a similar role within a large enterprise.
• Experience with endpoint protection and threat detection technologies such as CrowdStrike.
• Strong scripting and automation skills for security operations and incident response.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking, switching, routing and Meraki technologies.
• Understanding of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and D3FEND.
