Senior Project Officer - Gender-Based Violence Prevention

About the role

Adelaide University is hiring a Senior Project Officer for its Integrity and Safer Community function, based at the City East campus. The role is part-time (0.8 FTE) on a fixed-term 12-month contract, within the Safer Community Unit, which prevents and responds to harmful behaviours such as gender-based violence and racism and provides a safe, confidential way for staff and students to raise complaints or disclosures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate projects that support the prevention of, and response to, gender-based violence
• Work with international students to develop culturally appropriate, trauma-informed resources
• Engage students in meaningful, respectful conversations on sensitive topics and build trusted relationships with students from diverse cultural backgrounds

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience coordinating projects in a complex environment
• Experience managing project documentation, schedules and reporting
• Proven ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, especially from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Experience in risk and issue management within project delivery
• Familiarity with compliance requirements in a university or similar setting
• Commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
• A current Working with Children Check, as the position is prescribed under child safety legislation
