Home Support Officer - Aged Care

About the role

Calvary Strzelecki House is looking for a Home Support Officer for a permanent part-time position, Monday to Thursday 08:00-16:00 and Friday 08:00-12:00. The role supports the Home Manager with day-to-day administrative tasks so that customer care runs smoothly, and acts as the first point of contact for clients, residents and staff, offering courteous reception and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Keep administrative activities clear and timely to support customer care
• Facilitate communication with residents, their representatives and other stakeholders about office administration needs
• Handle reception duties such as answering phones, greeting visitors and contractors and managing appointments
• Assist with walk-in inquiries and record them appropriately

Required profile

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Commitment to high-quality customer service and a genuine interest in the elderly
• Attention to detail, multitasking and effective time management
• Organizational skills and the ability to prioritise work independently and as part of a team
• Desirable: previous aged or health care experience, rostering and payroll experience using Kronos, and qualifications in administration

Required skills

• Proficiency in contemporary IT applications and platforms such as MS Office and Teams, with a willingness to learn new ones
