Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager will own end‑to‑end delivery of complex business and technology initiatives within a regulated insurance environment. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong governance and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from initiation through closure, adhering to agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders and steering committees.
• Identify, assess and manage risks, issues, dependencies and change control processes.
• Coordinate cross‑functional and globally distributed project teams.
• Partner with Business Analysts to ensure clear, well‑defined requirements.
• Maintain project documentation in line with governance standards.
• Provide regular status reporting on progress, risks and financials.
• Manage project budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking and vendor management.
• Support portfolio‑level visibility and reporting across all project stages.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex business and technology change projects.
• Strong expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Experience working in regulated environments with governance and compliance requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all organisational levels.
• Strong planning, organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Confidence in reporting to senior leadership and steering committees.
• Analytical, results‑driven mindset with solid financial acumen.
• Relevant project management qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
