Senior Project Manager

About the role

Altrad is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a high‑profile desalination plant in Perth’s northern metro region. Reporting to the Operations Manager – Projects, you will have full accountability for a target‑cost contract from mobilisation through to handover, acting as the primary face of Altrad on this landmark project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplined team across construction, engineering, HSE, quality and commercial functions, setting performance and collaboration standards.
• Own the commercial performance, managing cost, earned value and variation positions in partnership with the commercial team.
• Build and maintain a strong client relationship, ensuring proactive and transparent communication.
• Oversee subcontract strategy with procurement, structuring packages to support programme and cost outcomes.
• Champion programme accountability, fostering forward planning, early constraint identification and collaborative problem solving.
• Model Altrad’s values in safety, quality and people, reinforcing the company’s reputation in the WA market.

Required profile

• Proven senior project leadership delivering complex SMP construction projects within a contracting environment.
• Strong commercial acumen to manage target‑cost contracts confidently.
• Leadership presence capable of extracting high performance from multi‑disciplined teams.
• Excellent relationship skills to represent Altrad credibly with clients and stakeholders.
