Senior Project Engineer - Towers

About the role

Acciona is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Towers to lead engineering and delivery activities for transmission tower steelwork on a major infrastructure project. Reporting to the Project Manager – Towers, you will ensure safe, efficient and compliant fabrication, logistics and erection of steel towers across multiple work fronts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day engineering and delivery for transmission tower steel construction.
• Coordinate fabrication, logistics, delivery and erection of tower steelwork.
• Ensure works comply with approved designs, specifications and Builder PSDR requirements.
• Develop and support construction methodologies, sequencing and lift plans.
• Manage interfaces between steelworks, foundations, access, logistics and erection crews.
• Oversee inspections, quality assurance, defect management and non‑conformance resolution.
• Monitor progress, manage risks and contribute to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Civil, Structural or Construction Engineering or a related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Project or Senior Project Engineer on steel or heavy‑construction projects.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection methodologies and sequencing.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, cranes and complex construction interfaces.
• Excellent planning, coordination, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.
