Senior Project Engineer - Defence Infrastructure

About the role

Laing O'Rourke, together with its joint venture partner Amentum Australia, is supporting Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) to deliver the Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard (NPSCY) project at Osborne, South Australia. It is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the AUKUS team, leading delivery across complex, multidisciplinary projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery across complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and the supply chain.
• Coach and mentor teams to drive high-performance delivery.
• Drive strategic planning and problem-solving with commercial acumen.
• Ensure construction activities are delivered safely and in line with client cost, time, quality and scope requirements.

Required profile

• A minimum of 10 years of construction or engineering project experience.
• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or Electrical) or Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance at NV1 level.
