Job description

About the role

Bridgit is a non-bank lender helping Australians access property equity through its Buy Now, Sell Later solution. It is looking for a Senior Product Manager to own its bridging finance product, reporting to the Product Director - Mortgages. You will own the product's roadmap and performance end to end, from understanding broker and customer needs to shipping improvements that make bridging faster, simpler and more competitive.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap and performance for bridging finance, with clear success metrics across conversion, time to approval, customer outcomes and commercial performance.
  • Research brokers and customers and use competitor insight on price, policy and product to recommend product evolution.
  • Partner with Credit on policy such as peak debt, end debt, serviceability and valuations, and with Engineering, Design, Platform, Operations, Distribution and Compliance to deliver on time.
  • Take part in solution design: process flows, wireframes, prototypes and user stories, and break initiatives into smaller releases.
  • Lead testing and rollout, measure results after launch and feed learnings back into the roadmap.
  • Build business cases for significant initiatives with success measures defined before work begins.

Required profile

  • 6+ years' experience in product management, including ownership of a product or major product area.
  • Experience in lending (ideally residential mortgages), bridging finance and a working understanding of credit policy and the broker distribution model.
  • Track record of using data and customer insight to make product decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Strong commercial judgement and comfort working closely with engineering teams and getting into technical detail.
  • Clear communication with brokers and executives, and a proactive approach to ambiguity.

Required skills

  • Must have specific experience with bridging loans; otherwise you should not apply.
  • Bonus: experience with bridging, equity release or specialist lending products, and exposure to Jira, Trello, Notion or similar.

What we offer

  • Extra days off: birthday leave, Kudos leave and an additional day of paid leave for life events or mental health.
  • Two weeks of remote work per year from anywhere.
  • Training and development budget and internal learning programmes.
  • Generous parental leave and discounted gym membership.
  • Catered team lunches, a social calendar and a dog-friendly Sydney office with a rooftop.
