Senior Procurement Manager – Construction

About the role

A leading construction contractor in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead the procurement and commercial management of major construction contracts across a portfolio of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end procurement of construction contracts, subcontractor packages and major project services.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and schedules.
• Manage tendering processes, including documentation, evaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Negotiate high‑value contracts ensuring favourable terms and appropriate risk allocation.
• Collaborate with project, commercial and legal teams to review obligations and mitigate exposure.
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and provide strategic procurement advice to senior management.

Required profile

• Significant senior procurement or commercial management experience in construction.
• Background with a head contractor on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record negotiating complex, high‑value contracts and subcontractor packages.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, commercial terms, risk and procurement legislation.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and commercial decision‑making skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law or related fields.
