Senior Payroll Specialist (Full-Time or Part-Time)

About the role

Cotality is seeking a senior payroll professional to lead accurate, compliant payroll execution across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Payroll, you will act as the in‑country expert, balancing technical payroll complexities with a strong focus on employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly and fortnightly Australian and New Zealand payrolls, ensuring high accuracy and compliance.
• Execute complex calculations such as pro‑rata pay, bonuses, commissions, salary sacrifice, terminations and redundancies.
• Manage employee entitlements, statutory filings (Superannuation, WorkCover, Centrelink, STP, Inland Revenue) and maintain audit‑ready records.
• Serve as the HRIS “Source of Truth,” maintaining data integrity across Workday, Dayforce and SharePoint.
• Provide payroll support via Workday tickets, partner with global payroll teams, and assist with ad‑hoc projects and WHS compliance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of end‑to‑end ANZ payroll processing with deep knowledge of Fair Work, Awards, STP, Superannuation and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to handle complex payroll transactions and maintain meticulous data accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer‑focused approach.
• Strong organisational skills to manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
