Senior Occupational Therapist (Clinical Education Support Officer)

About the role

Metro South Health at Logan Hospital, Meadowbrook is recruiting a temporary full-time Senior Occupational Therapist (Clinical Education Support Officer) in Brisbane-South, Logan-Beaudesert. The role moves occupational therapy beyond clinical practice into education, supporting clinical educators, developing students and new graduates and strengthening occupational therapy practice across hospital and community services. It is a 12-month fixed-term position.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support clinical education for occupational therapy students and new graduates across Logan, Beaudesert, QEII and Redland facilities, including mental health and community services.
• Build the confidence, skills and knowledge of clinicians in delivering high-quality clinical education.
• Provide clinical advice, supervision and guidance to students and new graduates, supporting their professional growth.
• Collaborate with clinical educators, university partners and multidisciplinary teams to improve education practices and learning opportunities.
• Contribute to service improvement, evidence-based practice and innovative clinical education initiatives across Metro South Health.

Required profile

• Experienced occupational therapist who enjoys sharing knowledge, building relationships and helping others reach their potential.
• A recognised tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Ability to support clinical education and respond to the learning needs of students, new graduates and staff.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, leadership and initiative, and a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
