Senior NPI Engineer

About the role

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer to lead the transition of undersea vehicle designs into production. You will own the end‑to‑end NPI plan, ensure production readiness, and coordinate cross‑functional teams across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Own the NPI schedule, aligning engineering releases, supply‑chain execution and production work‑ups to a single build date.
• Run cross‑functional NPI planning forums, manage gate reviews, and drive Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR) readiness.
• Publish standardised guidance, checklists and DFX criteria to create repeatable NPI processes.
• Handle factory‑to‑factory transfers, resolve multi‑site issues and track risks with clear mitigation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic, Industrial or Process Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing, including direct involvement in NPI or design‑to‑production transitions.
• Proven ability to manage complex programmes, influence without authority and travel internationally as required.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in reviewing engineering releases (drawings, BOMs, configuration records).
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems, ECR/ECO change workflows, and BOM/PLM structures.
• Experience with DFx reviews, risk/issue tracking and cross‑functional coordination.
