Senior Media Relations & PR Manager

About the role

Lead Versatile Group’s external communications strategy, shaping the reputation of one of Australia’s fastest‑growing property and construction groups. Work directly with senior executives to secure high‑profile media coverage and elevate the company’s profile across multiple sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated media relations and PR strategies.
• Identify proactive media opportunities, project announcements and company news.
• Build and maintain relationships with business, property, construction and trade media.
• Create media releases, opinion pieces, executive profiles, speeches and other communication materials.
• Support executive thought‑leadership initiatives and manage media enquiries, issues and crisis communications.
• Monitor media performance, provide insights and recommendations, and partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies.

Required profile

• 8+ years’ experience in media relations, public relations, corporate communications or corporate affairs.
• Proven track record of securing positive media coverage and building media relationships.
• Experience in a PR agency, corporate environment, or both.
• Exceptional written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience advising senior executives and leadership teams.
• Strong commercial awareness, sound judgement and strategic thinking.
