Senior Manager – Audit & Assurance

About the role

As a Senior Manager in Moore Australia’s Audit & Assurance division you will lead complex engagements, build trusted client relationships and develop a high‑performing team while shaping the future of audit through AI, data analytics and digital technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, delivery and reporting of complex audit and assurance engagements.
• Manage a significant client portfolio, overseeing quality, scope, timelines, budgets and reporting.
• Build trusted relationships with boards, Audit and Risk Committees and senior executives.
• Coach and develop managers and team members to create an inclusive, high‑performing team.
• Champion responsible use of AI, data analytics, automation and digital audit tools.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of professional audit & assurance experience in an Australian public practice environment.
• Proven ability to independently manage a substantial client portfolio with limited oversight.
• Strong people leadership experience, including coaching managers and developing emerging leaders.
• Commercial management and business development capability.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards, Australian Accounting Standards and relevant IFRS.
• Membership of CA ANZ, CPA Australia or an equivalent recognised professional body.
• Experience using Caseware or an equivalent audit platform.
• Exposure to AI, automation, data analytics or digital audit technologies.
