Senior Legal Counsel – Mining & Resources

About the role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial lawyer to join a growing ASX‑listed mining and resources business with international operations and significant growth plans. You will work directly with the General Counsel, providing practical legal advice to senior executives and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Advise on corporate and commercial transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, capital raisings and restructures.
• Provide commercially focused advice across projects, procurement, regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Work closely with senior executives on strategic commercial matters and complex negotiations.
• Develop and improve internal legal processes, contracting frameworks and risk management practices.

Required profile

• Approximately 8+ years of post‑qualification experience as a commercial lawyer.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
• Experience in mining, resources, energy or related sectors is highly desirable.
• Excellent commercial judgement, stakeholder management and ability to work independently.
• Pragmatic, adaptable and comfortable in a fast‑growing business environment.
