About the role
The Environment & Planning team in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Associate to work on a mix of litigation, advisory and transactional matters across planning and environmental law.
Key responsibilities
- Handle planning approvals, appeals and major project approvals.
- Manage contaminated land, waste management, planning agreements and land acquisition matters.
- Provide advice and due diligence for oil & gas, mining and renewable energy projects.
- Conduct incident response, investigations, prosecutions and enforcement actions.
Required profile
- 5+ years post‑qualification experience in a reputable Environment & Planning practice.
- Experience with environmental approvals, prosecutions and court proceedings (Planning and Environment Court, Magistrates Court, District Court).
- Strong time‑management, organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent academic achievements.
Required skills
- Strong drafting ability in environmental and planning law matters.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities.
