Senior iOS Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑quality native iOS applications for a leading Australian retailer. You will work independently and as part of a hybrid team to deliver scalable, high‑performance solutions that serve millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift and Objective‑C.
• Work within a complex technical ecosystem with multiple integrations and third‑party services.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineering teams to define features and ensure a seamless user experience.
• Ensure app performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to best coding practices.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues independently.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional experience in native iOS development.
• Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Objective‑C.
• Experience working in large‑scale, high‑traffic environments.
• Solid understanding of iOS frameworks, UIKit, and the app lifecycle.
• Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVC, or Clean Architecture.
• Experience with REST APIs, third‑party integrations, and performance optimisation.
