Senior iOS Developer (Swift) - Remote

About the role

A partner company, listed through a recruitment platform, is looking for a Senior iOS Developer (Swift) based in Australia. The role is fully remote and international, focusing on building and enhancing a native mobile application with a strong emphasis on accessibility and inclusive design. You will work with technical teams to keep code quality and application performance high.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance native iOS apps with Swift, adding new features and improving existing ones
• Build and optimise user interfaces with SwiftUI and/or UIKit, keeping them consistent and responsive
• Maintain robust architecture, optimise performance and fix technical issues
• Implement accessibility features, including VoiceOver integration, Dynamic Type, scalable fonts and accessibility labels, traits, values and actions
• Manage accessibility focus and run hands-on accessibility testing, especially with VoiceOver
• Validate implementations against WCAG 2.1 and WCAG 2.2 and work with stakeholders on accessible, maintainable solutions

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional experience in native iOS development
• Commercial experience building apps with SwiftUI and/or UIKit
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing accessibility features in iOS apps
• Strong debugging, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English, able to work independently in a remote, international setting
