Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

Medibank is looking for an experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join its Internal Audit team in Docklands. You will lead and contribute to a diverse portfolio of audits across the business, from planning and fieldwork through to reporting and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with senior leaders, giving trusted advice and presenting findings that support decision-making at Executive and Board level.

Required profile

• Significant internal audit experience in complex, heavily regulated environments, covering planning, execution and reporting across a range of risk areas; ideally in financial services, private health insurance or health.
• End-to-end audit delivery with risk-based challenge and insights.
• Experience auditing projects, transformation initiatives or business change programs.
• Ability to identify risks, control weaknesses and process improvement opportunities.
• Relevant professional qualification such as CA, CPA, CIA or equivalent is desirable.

Required skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver clear reports and presentations for senior management and governance forums.
• Exposure to data analytics, AI-related risks or technology-enabled auditing.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and challenging established thinking.
