Senior Internal Auditor – Data & Analytics

About the role

Join one of Australia’s most advanced Internal Audit functions, working for a large US‑listed organisation that is at the forefront of technology, data analytics and automation. You will lead audits while leveraging cutting‑edge tools and AI‑driven techniques to transform the future of internal audit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end internal audits, from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork, reporting and remediation.
• Leverage advanced analytics and automation tools to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain automated testing routines, dashboards and data‑analytics workflows using Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate and emerging technologies.
• Explore opportunities to incorporate AI and new technologies into audit processes.
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to identify risks, strengthen controls and drive process improvements.
• Contribute to the continued development of an already highly advanced Internal Audit function.

Required profile

• Solid foundation in internal audit with experience delivering end‑to‑end audits, either in‑house or in a professional services environment.
• Strong exposure to data analytics, automation or technology‑enabled auditing.
• Understanding of risk management, internal controls and audit methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and confidence to challenge existing processes.
• Curious, proactive mindset with a willingness to learn new technologies.
