Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team of geotechnical specialists in Brisbane. Reporting to the Discipline Leader, you will provide geotechnical support and services to clients to ensure successful project delivery nationally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a range of geotechnical projects across all life stages locally and nationally, ensuring alignment with schedule and budget.
• Conduct geotechnical analyses, geological and geotechnical modelling, and detailed design.
• Prepare project deliverables, including financial management, technical report writing, and administrative tasks.
• Undertake site investigations, supervise construction support inspections, and prepare project proposals that drive innovative, practical, and sustainable outcomes.
• Participate in client management, business development activities, and contribute to team meetings, workshops, training, and business planning.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in a technical geotechnical role within industry or consulting, preferably in the resources sector.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering; RPEQ and CPENG highly desired.
• Experience with water infrastructure management (tailings, dams) and knowledge of ANCOLD guidelines.
• Proven project management competence for medium to large projects and ability to travel to sites in Central and Northern Queensland.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to supervise and mentor staff.
