Senior Full Stack Developer (Remote, Australia/NZ)

About the role

Resly builds hospitality management software, with its headquarters on the Gold Coast and remote teams across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and Sri Lanka. This Senior Full Stack Developer role has real influence over engineering practices as the company scales, with input into architectural decisions. It is fully remote, open to anyone in Australia or New Zealand.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver high-quality, scalable features across the stack
• Take ownership of complex technical problems and drive them to resolution
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improve system design
• Work closely with product and design to shape solutions, not just implement them
• Mentor and support other developers and improve engineering practices
• Improve code quality, testing and deployment practices, and identify opportunities to boost performance, scalability and developer experience

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Full Stack Developer delivering scalable, maintainable systems in production
• Deep expertise in Node.js and React (or comparable technologies)
• Strong grounding in modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews)
• Practical use of AI-assisted development (prompt engineering, AI agents) to improve productivity and code quality
• Experience in agile, high-velocity teams, ideally in startups or scale-ups
• Hands-on cloud experience (e.g. GCP or similar), including deploying, debugging and optimising live systems
• Comfortable working remotely across time zones
