Senior Financial Accountant – Real Estate Asset Management

This senior position sits at the heart of a growing real‑estate platform, providing a blend of fund accounting, financial control and commercial partnership across a diverse portfolio of investment structures. It is ideal for a CA or CPA‑qualified professional seeking to move beyond pure compliance into a high‑visibility, relationship‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for asset and fund structures, including management accounts and board packs with variance analysis.
• Coordinate year‑end audit processes and manage statutory compliance under Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.
• Oversee fund accounting activities such as unit pricing, distributions, management fee calculations and expense allocations.
• Review and validate outputs from fund administrators to ensure accuracy across all operations.
• Handle group tax compliance, BAS, IAS and investor tax reporting, managing ATO interactions and lodgement timelines.
• Support treasury functions, including cash‑flow forecasting, debt management and covenant compliance.
• Partner with Asset Management and Investment teams on acquisitions, leasing, capex and asset performance.
• Mentor and develop junior finance team members.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Fund accounting experience within Australian asset‑management or property‑fund environments.
• Strong technical accounting background with solid knowledge of Australian direct and indirect tax.
• Proven experience managing audits, external administrators and third‑party providers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with confidence engaging senior stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast‑paced setting where priorities shift.
