Senior Finance Business Partner

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner for its Melbourne Support Centre in the CBD, on a permanent, full-time basis. Working closely with the General Manager of Operations, the role provides strategic financial leadership, manages the profitability of an existing client portfolio and drives business growth through commercial modelling, business cases and client partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop commercial models for new tenders and contract retentions, including pricing analysis and recommendations, and lead multiple bid development processes
• Prepare pricing, draft variations, approval memos for the CEO, CFO and Finance Head, and prepare business cases and CAPEX requests
• Develop, implement and deliver Profit Improvement Plans, review contracts and handle contract variations and rate escalations
• Analyse site performance to optimise profitability, and prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts with analysis and insights
• Ensure financial governance, policies and procedures covering billing, cash, labour, stock and asset management, and support the month-end process
• Manage commercial and financial risk, assist with debtor collection, and take part in national commercial projects and site visits
• Provide analytical support, coach and mentor site managers, and help deliver month-end accounts and monthly management reports

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualified
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
• Proven experience building commercial models and in contract negotiation and administration, including Australian standard forms
• Ability to meet deadlines, create processes where gaps exist, and adapt quickly with limited process structure
• Willingness to travel for due diligence, commercial reviews and training
