Senior Field Technician I - Adelaide Metro

About the role

nbn is looking for a Senior Field Technician based in the Adelaide Metro area, working within a field service team. The role covers end-to-end service to homes and businesses, from installation to repair and maintenance, and involves resolving complex network faults, supporting service restorations and mentoring technicians. It is a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve complex network faults and support service restorations across multiple technologies
• Mentor field technicians and guide teams on best practice and escalated service issues
• Manage complex service restoration activities and escalated network faults
• Apply civil avoidance and remediation techniques, including paver removal and reinstatement, dig-down repairs, shallow excavation and safe use of trenchers
• Support, coach and mentor field technicians
• Work to tight deadlines and travel to work sites away from home

Required profile

• Extensive experience in HFC, fibre and copper network installation, assurance, restoration and fault diagnostics
• ACMA licence preferred but not required; Cert III or Cert IV in Telecommunications preferred
• Current driver's licence and availability to work 7am-7pm
• Full working rights in Australia; a criminal history check and pre-employment medical assessment are required for the preferred candidate
