Senior Engineering Manager – Technology

About the role

Civica is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead multiple engineering teams and managers across its product portfolio. You will shape engineering strategy, drive modern practices and embed AI to deliver high‑quality, sustainable outcomes for public sector customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Engineering Managers and several software teams to deliver high‑quality product outcomes.
• Partner with Product and senior stakeholders to align technology priorities with business needs.
• Define long‑term engineering roadmaps and modernise tools, practices and automation.
• Measure impact of AI adoption and engineering improvements through outcome‑focused metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering managers and large software development teams.
• Strong leadership, people‑development and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to balance delivery speed with product quality, technical debt and sustainability.

Required skills

• .NET.NET Core, Azure, SQL Server
• AWS, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog
• AI and automation integration across the software development lifecycle
