Senior Employee Relations Specialist

About the role

As a Senior Employee Relations Specialist in Sodexo’s national team, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders, guiding them through complex workplace challenges and delivering compliant, commercially‑focused solutions across diverse operational environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert employee and industrial relations advice to leaders in varied settings.
• Lead resolution of complex matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances and performance management cases.
• Represent the business before industrial tribunals and regulatory bodies, and support enterprise agreement bargaining.
• Partner with leaders to identify and manage employee relations risk, responding to disputes, union matters and workforce transitions.
• Coach leaders to build capability in handling workplace issues and embed consistent, compliant practices.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and Australian workplace relations framework.
• Experience interpreting modern awards, enterprise agreements and managing complex investigations.
• Excellent evidence analysis, case strategy and written advocacy skills.
• Proven stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship‑management abilities in a complex operational environment.
