Community Engagement Manager

About the role

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Community Engagement Manager to build strong, respectful relationships between the company, its client, and the surrounding communities of remote operations in Western Australia. You will act as a visible and trusted liaison, driving engagement initiatives, supporting events, and delivering social value across regional sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with site teams, Elders, Traditional Owners and local communities.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Sodexo, clients and stakeholders, ensuring culturally respectful engagement.
• Identify and promote local employment and Indigenous‑owned business opportunities.
• Plan and deliver community events such as Australia Day, NAIDOC Week and themed celebrations.
• Monitor contractual community‑engagement requirements, report outcomes and ensure compliance with policies.
• Travel weekly to remote sites and adapt to on‑site mobilisation needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder relations or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of Indigenous cultural protocols and community dynamics.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Highly organised with strong documentation and reporting capability.
• Ability to work autonomously across remote locations and manage competing priorities.
