Senior Electrical Modeller

About the role

KBR is looking for a Senior Electrical Modeller to join the SRL East Linewide Alliance on one of Australia's largest rail infrastructure projects. You will develop and coordinate electrical systems for stations, tunnels, depots and maintenance facilities, rail infrastructure and building services, working from concept through detailed design and construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D electrical models and design documentation using Revit MEP, AutoCAD and other modelling platforms
• Prepare electrical drawings and documentation in line with Australian Standards, client requirements and project specifications
• Model and coordinate power distribution, lighting, communications, security, earthing, lightning protection, station services, depot facilities and rail infrastructure systems
• Take part in design reviews, BIM coordination and interdisciplinary workshops
• Manage allocated electrical work packages and coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, track, systems and rail teams
• Resolve modelling, coordination and design issues and contribute to continuous improvement and digital engineering best practice

Required profile

• Diploma, Associate Diploma, Advanced Diploma or related qualification in engineering
• Experience as an electrical designer, drafter or modeller on transport, rail, buildings, defence, utilities, energy or major infrastructure projects
• Experience producing electrical models and drawings with minimal supervision
• Experience in multidisciplinary BIM project teams
• Strong communication, attention to detail and commitment to safety, quality and sustainability

Required skills

• Revit MEP and AutoCAD
• BIM processes, model coordination and digital engineering workflows
• Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Revizto highly regarded
• PDF review and mark-up software such as Bluebeam or PDF-XChange highly regarded
