Senior Electrical Engineer – Buildings

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Building Engineering team in Brisbane. You will work on complex building services projects across sectors such as aviation, healthcare, defence, education, data centres and transport.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation and coordination of technical electrical design documentation for diverse building services projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide specialised technical advice, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, design reviews and construction‑phase services while supporting client‑facing activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in building services design.
• Strong understanding of Australian Standards, NCC, and authority approval processes.
• Experience across multiple sectors (e.g., aviation, healthcare, defence) is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Electrical building services design including lighting, power distribution, earthing and lightning protection.
• Proficiency with ETAP, PowerCAD, Revit, AGi32 and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Relevant registration such as RPEQ, RPEV or CPEng (or working towards).
