Senior Electrical Engineer - APAC Data Centers

About the role

A leading APAC data center operator, backed by major asset management, owns and operates wholesale facilities across Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea. Since 2015 it has focused on hyperscale and cloud deployments, delivering secure, energy-efficient colocation and connectivity. This role is the electrical engineering expert across the full lifecycle, from design to operations, for mission-critical, energy-efficient and secure data center facilities. It leads multi-discipline electrical design, gives technical direction for projects and upgrades, and partners with technology, development and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain electrical systems and components for data centers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Oversee electrical engineering across the project lifecycle, including design, construction, installation and maintenance.
• Conduct technical reviews, testing, troubleshooting, risk identification, performance optimization and cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors and clients to deliver energy-efficient designs compliant with regulations and security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years in electrical design and engineering for data center environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
