Senior Educational Developer (Faculty of Medicine & Health)

About the role

The Senior Educational Developer will lead the design, development, delivery and evaluation of curriculum across the Faculty of Medicine & Health at UNSW. Working within the Education Development Unit, you will partner with academic staff to embed technology‑enhanced teaching and create engaging learning environments for students.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support for curriculum design, development, delivery and assessment at the faculty level.
• Collaborate with academic staff to implement technology‑enhanced teaching strategies and program‑level assessment.
• Develop and maintain user‑friendly course sites in the Learning Management System (Moodle), including interactive learning materials.
• Plan, deliver and review professional development programmes that build capability in technology‑enhanced learning and teaching.
• Pilot, evaluate and recommend emerging educational technologies, including generative AI applications.
• Analyse data from multiple sources to inform continuous improvement of learning and teaching.

Required profile

• Relevant qualifications in education, technology or a related field, with experience in higher‑education curriculum development.
• Proven leadership in driving innovation and improvement in teaching and learning.
• Extensive experience designing, developing and reviewing technology‑enabled courses.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging Moodle course sites and interactive learning activities.
• Experience delivering professional development for staff in technology‑enhanced teaching.
• Ability to work autonomously, pilot new technologies and critically evaluate their impact.

What we offer

• Competitive salary $127k‑$143k per annum plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
• Full‑time (35 hours/week) fixed‑term contract until 30 April 2028.
