About the role
Aurora Dairies is seeking a Senior Farm Hand or Farm Hand for a dairy farm near Waterhouse, Tasmania. The farm is part of a large-scale dairy business with 57 farms across south-eastern Australia, and offers a full-time roster with a maximum average of 50 hours per week (four days off per fortnight).
Key responsibilities
- Drive and uphold animal health and safe operating procedures.
- Carry out all aspects of milking.
- Care for animals (animal husbandry).
- Manage pasture.
- Operate machinery and carry out repairs and maintenance.
Required profile
- Past dairy industry experience is desirable, but inexperienced applicants with the right attitude may be considered.
- Committed to a safe workplace, reliable and punctual.
- Good work ethic, positive attitude and team player.
