Senior Cost Controller

About the role

This permanent position supports a Sydney‑based infrastructure project, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager. You will manage cost analysis, forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Control actual costs, produce monthly forecasts and financial reports, including cash flow and accruals.
• Support Project Managers with cost forecasts and participate in monthly project valuation.
• Prepare month‑end commercial dashboards, highlight variances, risks and opportunities.
• Improve cost‑management processes linking cost, scope, progress and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, finance, construction management or related field.
• 5+ years experience as a Cost Controller or Quantity Surveyor in construction.
• Proven ability to manage project performance using Bills of Quantities and ERP systems.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• SAP (or other ERP) proficiency.
• Experience with Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and estimating systems.
• Familiarity with CANDY software (desirable).
