About the role
Senior Consultant, Engagement & Change Advisory will join Aurecon’s North Sydney office to help clients navigate complex change, stakeholder engagement and transformation challenges across infrastructure and built‑environment sectors. The role is a 12‑month maximum‑term contract delivering strategic advice and practical solutions that benefit communities, organisations and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of communication, stakeholder engagement and change strategies across complex programs and projects.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, community representatives, project teams and key stakeholders in both public and private sectors.
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder forums and engagement activities that support informed decision‑making and project success.
- Design and implement change interventions that drive adoption, embed new ways of working and deliver sustainable outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice on stakeholder risk, community impacts, organisational readiness and change‑management approaches.
- Contribute to business development through proposal development, client relationship management and identifying new opportunities.
- Mentor junior consultants and foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
- Work closely with technical, engineering and advisory specialists to deliver integrated client solutions.
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, community engagement, social impact, change management or organisational transformation.
- Proven ability to deliver advisory outcomes within complex environments involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience leading workstreams, projects or programmes and managing client relationships from inception through delivery.
- Strong facilitation, communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations.
- Experience working within infrastructure, energy, water, transport, government or built‑environment sectors is highly regarded.
- Track record of contributing to business development activities, proposals, bids or client growth initiatives.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications, Change Management, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Psychology, Public Policy, Community Development or a related discipline.
