Senior Consultant – Data & AI, M&A Consulting Services

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its M&A Data & AI team in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. You will help clients navigate data and AI complexities across the full M&A lifecycle, from due diligence to post‑acquisition value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI maturity, data quality and data risk on buy‑side and sell‑side engagements and deliver board‑level health checks.
• Support post‑acquisition value creation, portfolio monitoring and integration workstreams.
• Translate complex data and AI findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to business development, proposals and practice‑building initiatives.
• Coach junior team members and help shape tools, methodology and ways of working.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in AI, data analytics or technology consulting, preferably with M&A exposure.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently in fast‑moving environments and manage competing priorities.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as required.

Required skills

• AI/ML solutions and MLOps/AI infrastructure.
• Cloud data platforms and enterprise data governance.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint for polished deliverables.
