Senior Consultant, Corporate & International Tax

About the role

BDO is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Corporate & International Tax team in Brisbane. You will work within a high‑performing group advising clients on complex Australian tax law, delivering both advisory and compliance services.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake tax due diligence assignments and transactional work for large private and international groups.
• Research and draft advice on complex technical matters, including sale and restructure advice, ATO rulings and position papers.
• Assist with ATO reviews and prepare income tax returns, work papers and tax effect accounting calculations.
• Develop strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and develop the technical skills of graduates and junior staff.

Required profile

• Demonstrated corporate tax experience in a Big 4 or mid‑tier accounting firm.
• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Law (Taxation).
• Strong client advisory and communication abilities.
• Experience with cross‑border structures, financing arrangements and transactions is preferred.
