Senior Claims Consultant

About the role

Marsh is looking for a Senior Claims Consultant to join its JLT Risk Solutions team in Adelaide. You will manage civil liability claims for local government members across South Australia, providing risk advice and delivering practical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of civil liability claims from lodgement through to finalisation, adhering to established protocols.
• Conduct technical claims administration, including information gathering, assessment, correspondence, settlement negotiation and payment processing.
• Collaborate with the Claims team and Liability Risk Advisor to identify trends and support proactive risk‑management programmes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with councils, claimants, lawyers, assessors and other stakeholders.
• Provide onsite client service and deliver recommendations as required.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing claims processes from start to finish.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with a range of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
• Capability in data processing, analysis and reporting.
