Senior Civil Engineer (RPEQ) – Queensland Urban Development

About the role
Egis is expanding its Queensland Urban Development team and seeks a technically excellent Senior Engineer (RPEQ) to lead impactful infrastructure projects in Brisbane and across Queensland.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle – from feasibility studies and concept design to detailed design, construction administration and certification.
- Lead the preparation of high‑quality proposal documentation, fee estimation, methodology development and client negotiations.
- Conduct and chair meetings with clients, internal Egis disciplines and external consultants.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, offering technical leadership on project teams.
- Manage projects technically and contractually, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and Australian standards.
- Monitor project finances, track time and cost against budgets and communicate scope changes to clients.
- Review technical deliverables such as reports, detailed designs and construction quality‑assurance data for compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in urban development projects in Queensland.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- RPEQ registration (or willingness to obtain it) – mandatory.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects to meet client objectives.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, local council planning schemes and greenfield development guidelines.
