Senior Category Manager – Non‑Clinical

About the role

The Senior Category Manager – Non‑Clinical will lead Calvary’s indirect and non‑clinical procurement portfolio, shaping strategy, prioritisation and delivery across multiple sites. Reporting to the Director of Sourcing, this permanent full‑time position offers hybrid/flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Champion compliance with National Catholic Safeguarding Standards and Calvary policies.
• Own the indirect and non‑clinical category portfolio, providing strategic direction on spend, market analysis, sourcing and supplier management.
• Lead complex, enterprise‑wide sourcing activities, RFTs, panels, sole‑source arrangements and contract negotiations.
• Review and endorse category strategies, sourcing plans, evaluations and contract awards while prioritising work and allocating resources.
• Engage executive, operational, facilities and finance stakeholders to align on strategy and manage commercial risks.
• Monitor portfolio performance, savings, benefits, compliance, supplier performance and risks using market intelligence.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years procurement experience with senior‑level category management of indirect or corporate services.
• Proven success leading complex, enterprise‑wide sourcing processes and contract negotiations.
• Strong commercial acumen, including spend analysis, market assessment and Total Cost of Ownership evaluation.
• Accountability for portfolio prioritisation, consolidated sourcing pipeline and aggregate savings, benefits, compliance and risk outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to engage and influence executive, operational, facilities and finance stakeholders.
• Formal people‑management experience, including performance management and capability development.
