Senior Business Analyst - Insurance Products

About the role

Iterate is partnering with one of Australia's leading industry super funds to find an experienced Senior Business Analyst for an important insurance initiative. The fund is changing its Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) insurance offering, working closely with its insurer and fund administrator so that members are not made worse off. The role is an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend, starting as soon as possible, and is hybrid based in the Melbourne CBD (3 days in the office).

Key responsibilities

• Analyse product and member scenarios, including occupation-level differences in cover and premiums.
• Connect product changes with premium rate changes and the annual premium review.
• Assess impacts across people, processes and systems, and capture requirements, business rules and process flows.
• Work with the insurer and administrator to specify, track and verify changes.
• Review member communications to ensure accuracy and alignment with requirements.
• Support testing and user acceptance testing through to implementation.

Required profile

• Strong senior business analyst experience in financial services.
• Experience of insurance product change, ideally from a systems perspective.
• End-to-end enterprise transformation experience.
• Confidence working with vendors and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superannuation or group life insurance experience (death, TPD, income protection).
• Knowledge of premium repricing or insurance-in-super regulation.

Required skills

• CBAP certification.
• Requirements analysis, business rules and process flow documentation.
