Senior Business Analyst - Digital Transformation

About the role

M&T Resources is seeking an experienced Business Analyst in Brisbane CBD to support a major digital transformation initiative. The role reviews current technology capabilities, identifies future-state requirements and provides strategic recommendations for long-term business and service delivery outcomes. It works across business and technology teams, engaging stakeholders and supporting executive decisions. The initial engagement is a 6-month contract with potential extensions.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current systems, business processes, reporting capabilities, strengths, limitations, risks and opportunities for improvement
• Capture, analyse and document business, functional and solution requirements
• Develop process maps, future-state processes, operating models and capability frameworks using recognised business analysis methodologies
• Conduct market scans and industry research on technology solutions and best practice
• Facilitate workshops and consultations with business and technical stakeholders
• Perform fit-gap analysis and evaluate solution options against business requirements and strategy
• Work with business, technical and architecture teams, and liaise with vendors on product capabilities
• Assess business impact, change requirements, risks and implementation considerations
• Contribute to project planning, governance, executive reporting and strategic programs

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering business analysis on large-scale digital, technology or business transformation initiatives
• Ability to prepare business cases, options papers, reports, presentations and governance artefacts for senior executives and steering committees
• Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation and communication skills
• Experience gathering and documenting business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Experience in Agile project environments and contemporary delivery methodologies

Required skills

• Business process analysis, operating model design and requirements management
• Desirable: Azure DevOps for requirements and delivery management
• Desirable: Microsoft Dynamics 365 and complex integrations, change management and enterprise architecture understanding
