Senior Auditor

About the role

BDO is seeking a Senior Auditor to join its Sunshine Coast audit team, working with a diverse client base across public and private sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audits for large proprietary and listed companies across various industries.
• Complete planning sections of audit files independently.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop audit strategies and methodologies.
• Identify potential problem areas or budget difficulties with the manager.
• Coordinate engagements and report directly to Partners when appropriate.
• Analyse and document internal controls and environments.
• Draft management letters and completion reports.
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues and build internal relationships.
• Liaise with clients to identify future opportunities.

Required profile

• Previous external audit experience in a professional services firm.
• CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing General Purpose accounts, including listed entities.
• Ability to identify scope and solve problems.
• Full and unrestricted working rights within Australia.
