Senior Associate - Workplace Relations & Safety

About the role

HWL Ebsworth, a highly regarded employment safety and investigation practice and the largest legal partnership in Australia, is looking for a Senior Associate or Special Counsel to join its Workplace Relations and Safety team. The team advises a broad range of clients, including small and large corporates, as well as government and statutory authorities, and partners with them to deliver practical, commercially sound outcomes.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience working across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Broad experience providing advice on employment and safety matters
• A proven record of building client relationships, taking the lead on matters and working cooperatively with team members including juniors
• A genuine appetite to help grow the practice
• Full working rights in Australia and a valid practising certificate; applicants are encouraged to come from the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community

Required skills

• Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Ability to advise on employment and safety matters
