Senior Associate – Tax

About the role

Join a dynamic Tax practice in Sydney as a Senior Associate, working closely with partners and senior lawyers on complex, high‑value matters for multinational and ASX‑listed clients.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of workstreams and build direct client relationships.
• Advise on domestic and cross‑border taxation matters, including financing arrangements, corporate transactions, restructures, international tax issues, transfer pricing, GST and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with partners Simone Bridges, Miles Hurst, Dixon Hearder and Victoria Lanyon, receiving mentorship from day one.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years’ post‑qualification experience at a top‑tier law firm or Big 4.
• Strong technical foundation in tax law and a genuine interest in solving complex problems.
• Ability to develop client relationships and provide commercially focused advice.
• Excellent drafting, research, analytical and organisational skills.

Required skills

• Experience with corporate income tax, international tax and transfer pricing.
• Knowledge of GST/indirect tax and tax controversy matters.
