Senior Associate - Financial Services, Superannuation & Investment Funds

About the role

A leading Financial Services team in Sydney is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Partners, Matt Daley and Vanessa Pallone. The role offers a lead position on advisory and transactional matters across investment funds, superannuation and financial services, advising fund managers, superannuation trustees, wealth managers, platform operators, investment banks and financial advice businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients across the financial services industry on the full lifecycle of funds and products, from structuring and establishing collective investment vehicles and alternative product offerings to licensing, governance, disclosure, distribution and ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Handle significant transactional mandates, including large-scale domestic and international fund structures.
• Work on emerging areas such as sustainable finance, private credit and fintech.

Required profile

• 5-8 years' post qualification experience, with demonstrated time in a Senior Associate (or equivalent) role.
• Solid background in financial services regulation, funds/investment products and/or superannuation, with experience advising on the establishment of managed investment schemes and superannuation products.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
• Commercial mindset, strong client service and a willingness to take part in business development.
